The 125cc Turismo Rapido line was filled with interesting sub-models, such as the Turismo Rapido America (TRA). It is identifiable by its pronounced humped tank and de unique front fork design. Tubular shocks were used front and rear, and it was usually finished in a red and white scheme. Like other Turismo’s Rapido’s it used an overhead two-valve, pushrod design, and an 8,5:1 compression ratio to extract 6,5 HP from its 125cc’s A Dellorto MA 18B carburator handled air.fuel duties, and the 4-speed transmission allowed carefree riding without winding up the engine. The frame was made up by an open duplex cradle, and tubes at the front, and pressed-steel components at the rear. The result was a sturdy, easy to manufacture frame that could cope with the marginal roads of mid-1950’s Italy.
