The project is dated 1949. After the first 2 stroke models, it was decided to switch to a more sophisticated 4 stroke engine. An important decision that clearly seperates the production models from the race bikes. It debuted on the
8th of July 1950 at the Dutch Grand Prix with Bertoni and Magi. The Bialbero is the first motorcycle from Cascina Costa to win a World Title in 1952. The engine was also used in the “Scooter” category
